The first G.I. Joes are released. The 12” ones. It’s fascinating to look at icons of your own childhood and trace the genesis back to…not so very long ago. My parents would have been around ten years old when these came out. Envisioning them - or let’s be honest - my dad playing with them is a visual connection, albeit imaginary and created, that brings me a smile. 20240314
