Time travel science fiction films - the A-List

(note : I am including films I consider to be science fiction in nature, as opposed to films which feature time travel as a device, but are comfortably at home in other genres. So, no Groundhog Day, in spite of being a superlative film. Also, no Bill and Ted, etc.)

Also, I have left certain ones such as the wonderful Army of Darkness off, for similar reasons that are possibly also irrational, because the focus is more a ‘fish out of water’ approach rather than the implications of time travel and its infinite journey down the theoretical bunny hole.
