Kid .

A child is never too young to

A) learn to say 'thank you,' or

B) start listening to Radiohead,

although it may be years before they fully absorb the importance of either. Foundations.

They're both important, possibly equally so.

The paradoxes and extremes of existence are what perpetually fascinate me. The things that, combined together, create something wholly original. Radiohead does this repeatedly with the way they weave, yank, dance and pull disparate sounds into unique yet (most of the time) listenable sound snippets. They have the same wellspring of technology and resources to use as plenty of other bands…yet they keep making music that is distinctly different than anything and anyone else. Music that is often enigmatic and difficult to fully appreciate initially, but that keeps growing and improving and aging to the point you realize it’s absorbed into you and you’re even sometimes humming. Humming! Humming to Radiohead! That’s a progression.

There are people (pictured) also that are mysterious; oddly compelling at first, and enough so to prompt initial interest, but that keep providing layers of interest and depth and growing on you until you realize your life is simply better with them in it. Like Radiohead. Only with a little more joie de vivre. And a much prettier face than Thom.

This kid, this is A Kid A+ kid.
