At 37, I realize this is the age where I truly began embracing the idea that were I to be auditioning for a lead role in a sports biographical film, I would likely be cast not as the athlete, but possibly as the character interviewing the athlete.

You might think: 37? He’s just now realizing this? Isn’t that like more of a…27 thing?!

Maybe you think this, and honestly that’s fair. I come to understandings about some things at much different points than many, and maybe that’s what makes me…me.
