A bird told me (I’m like one too).
I was trying so hard to be in a cranky mood, and I was driving and stuck in a compact disc, and an old compilation I had carefully assembled so very long ago began playing. It was awful when, sandwiched between Leonard Cohen and Dropkick Murphys, my foul spirits were assaulted by the lilting optimism of Nelly Furtado's I'm Like a Bird.
I had totally forgotten it was the Greatest Song Ever, but then a little birdie reminded me,
and the sun broke through,
and also our daughter rode a horse this week. To my recollection, they do not fly.
