QUESTION: Pet Shop Boys or Depeche Mode?

- Andrew Becraft So conflicted on this one... I think Pet Shop Boys have released more great songs/singles (partially captured in their Discography "best of" from 1991), but Depeche Mode have released more great albums ("Songs of Faith & Devotion," "Violator," "Exciter," etc.). I ultimately have to go with Depeche Mode, I think.

- Wolfgang Rickwalt Real tough call. Both have iconic songs, but I think the edge goes to Depeche Mode for being a bit moodier.Wednesday at 10:27am via mobile · Unlike · 1

- David Huckaby pet shop boys...
- David Huckaby depress mode == horrendously depressing
- Joseph Long I like DP's dense sound...but the razorsharp songwriting of PSB puts them a nose ahead in my book
Agreed, Andrew. DP has a solid record for consistent albums; PSB is more singles-oriented. But: 1993's Very is simply classic, beginning to end, in terms of both music and album design (yes, design geek hereWednesday at 6:36pm via mobile · Like · 2 - Andrew Becraft Definitely agreed -- and you gotta love that textured orange CD case! (Admission: Very is actually the only PSB *album* I own...)
- Joseph Long Love the packaging. And aside from their Greatest Hits...Very is the only proper PSB album I own as well
- Ethan Tidwell Feeling greedy - give me both!
