I vote Jeff, not only for angelic voice, but serious guitar chops as well. Making this decision has made for a great soundtrack for the evening.

Jen, it's tough to argue with that. I love Tim's voice and songwriting as well, but it is amazing how well Jeff's songs have weathered time. It's a game in itself tracking the different singers whose vocal stylings are heavy with his influence.

And you're right, it's easy to forget how well he could handle his way around a six-string.

Any favourite tracks of either?

I have to thank you for this post, Joseph. I spent the morning listening to Jeff's music, which went perfect with the rain pouring down outside. I don't have any of Tim's music to compare to, though. This musical challenge was pretty cool.

...and regarding Tim: you can always start with his classic "Song to the Siren." Gorgeous. Can really see where Jeff got got his sense of atmospheric vocals.
